Xtort, industrial electro Enclosed between Ruhrgebiet and the deserted Philips factories in Eindhoven, In the land that once was the home of many textile plants, xtort makes it's music with a view on mankind that isn't overall postive. Industrial music finds it's roots in the late 70's, with acts like Cabaret Voltaire, Clock DVA, Fad Gadget & the German DAF, but xtort is also influenced by acts as Kraftwerk, Jean Michel Jarre with a more vintage sound. And also xtort flirts with the modern sound of techno & hardcore technoont the new album 'Nothing Is Real'. Theme's like loneliness, propaganda, social media, fake news and the evil in men are eching on this album. The music is made with analog and vintage gear from the 70's 80's en 90's of last century, Analog synths & sample technique from the heyday of electronic music. In the middle of a successful European tour the corona virus hit hard, but still xtort managed to do some concerts and was one of the driving forces behind the Wave invasion online festivals. 2021 was marked by the release of 2 singles; 'Zwart' & 'All in my head'.
