Through their tenacity and DIY attitude, WOODSHIP managed to set up over 30 shows in 2023, including 15 festivals (e. g. Open Flair, Heartbeat Festival & Terrassenfest) as well as playing support shows for Blackout Problems, The Intersphere, Leap, Rebecca Lou and Prime Circle. Their new EP, sponsored by Initiative Musik, also shows the exciting musical development of the young band and their obvious potential to conquer the big stages. Articles in magazines such as Gitarre and Bass, Guitar, Visions as well as plays on the radio on Fritz unsigned, Radio Bob, BremenVIER and WDR – and also winning their best band in the west contest called “Szene im Westen” (“Scene in the west”) – show WOODSHIP’s inspiring & constant progress and the name they are making for themselves. WOODSHIP draws attention to dystopian conditions in modern society, outlines a desirable world and celebrate joie de vivre with humor in spite of serious topics – because nothing works without it!
