South East London based ‘With Sun’ is the artist name of singer-songwriter and poet Alice Hale. Following in the footsteps of her father, songwriter Keith Hale (Toyah/Hawkwind/Ginger Baker’s Nutters), Alice has been writing songs for over 20 years. Guided by her distinctive voice, Alice’s songs are inspired by a love of storytelling and truth. Her lyrics are laden with emotion and vulnerability, reflecting her own personal experiences as well as wider societal issues such as inequality and mental health.  After taking an introspective look at her own identity as an artist, her latest releases ‘Before you Go’ and ‘Safe and Sound’ adopt a more contemporary and spacious sound than her earlier recordings.  Alice’s next releases aim to continue this progression, culminating in a new EP later this year.
