Windup Space

Windup Space tells the story of a young garage band persevering well into artistic maturity. Having spent 13 years honing their craft, they’ve elevated their genre-bending blend of emo-, prog-, and post-rock into something truly unique. Sure, at first glance they might seem like just another hard-hitting alt-rock three-piece with well-crafted hooks and roaring guitars. But those who listen closely will quickly discover that Windup Space is reaching for something far more cinematic and imaginative. Their upcoming full-length album, Nonbeliever, recorded deep in the heart of the Belgian Ardennes, carries a gripping sense of desolation and atmosphere. This, coupled with their trademark vulnerable songwriting, showcases what makes Windup Space such a compelling voice within modern rock. The result is a band equally skilled at pulling the heartstrings as they are at inducing mosh pits. Known for their intense, high-energy live shows, they’ve been taking audiences on sweaty, collective deep dives into introspection for over a decade. And judging by the urgency of their recent single, Black Summer, they have no intention of slowing down anytime soon.
