whYne is a Dutch rockband, from the city of Breda, known for its melodic and accessable rockmusic. Recognizable poprock, songs you easily sing along, pure rock in a new sleeve. “whYne gets its inspiration from half a century's rock history. Bands like the Beatles , Rolling Stones, Pink Floyd and Led Zeppelin, but also Foo Fighters , Incubus and Black Crowes have left deep traces into the music of whYne. Although you think you know our songs for many years, our music is original an only written by us. With our classic rockformation we have Kees van Hulten on drums with clockwork precision, the bass is played by Paul Lauwers with the most greasy groove, Patrick van der List hits the strings of his guitar like a.... and Maarten Morsink puts his body and soul into the lead vocals. And like this we're looking for the borders of our skills and beyond. Known paths and cliché’s are not feared, but they accomplish the unmistakably whYne sound. you should see us sometime!
