I’m Van Garritsen. A musician from the Dutch countryside. Crafting songs that drift between country, lo-fi folk and lean towards indie. I love raw storytelling and stripped-back production, it inspires me to work on my own songs and write, record and produce them from start to finish independently. Through the years I’ve tried to create a distinctive mix where dusty country meets with hazy indie atmospheric sounds and has a melancholic undercurrent. With guitar, slide guitar and lapsteel, banjo, harmonica and other instruments I try to create a weathered and personal sound.
