trust the mask

Trust The Mask was born at the beginning of March 2020, at the dawn of the first lockdown. Elisa and Vittoria then, started making music from afar and rejoined in the studio in summer 2020 to record a bunch of songs for their new project. "Cloudy Again is a song born twice, in two different rooms, by two mothers" - says Elisa and Vittoria. "It first bloomed the title, during those isolation days, which later gave birth to every aspect of the song: the instrumental core, where a gentle Kantele, a string instrument from the Baltic area, tries to sooth those solitudes' greyness. The lyric grew as last. It's a comparison of those imposed detentions to the end of a relationship, to the deterioration of a vibrant love which ended up betraying any expectation. Despite everything, finally Cloudy Again came to light and in the end its message is one and only : hope, after the storm's last drop."
