The Waiting covers three generations of passion for music. Unique as this may be; it’s not a coincidence. The ‘youngsters’ draw their inspiration mainly from ‘the old’: the sixties, seventies and nineties. Their love for that music transcends the age differences. The rhythm section is the oldest part of the band. The roots of bass player Theo De Grood and drummer Franky Gomez go deep and form a foundation that is both tight and solid, yet alive. On top of that, there is lots of space for colouring and movement. With two fantastic guitarists (Len David and Martijn Geuijen) and a very versatile keyboard player (Bas Vossen) in their ranks, The Waiting can handle almost any musical style and does not shy away from sonic surprises and experiments; especially live.
