SweetMilk is a band from the Achterhoek (The Netherlands) that originates around singer-songwriter Mike Mendels. Mike is the brain that comes up with songs that will be stuck in your head forever, which are performed together with Han, Jürgen, Daniël and Remco. All are down-to-earth musicians who earned their stripes in various bands. This energetic group is a pleasure to listen to and watch. SweetMilk’s music is honest, refreshingly simple, and distinctive. Their lyrics describe everyday topics that appeal to all; the atmosphere of ordinary life. These diverse topics are aptly turned into powerful rock tracks. And what about the name SweetMilk? It’s hinting at former Dutch cyclist Joop Zoetemelk. He was a national hero, but above all a modest and ordinary person. He was good at what he did because he just liked it a lot. The same goes for SweetMilk: enjoying the music is key!
