Siberian Oxygen

In 2010, from the ashes of a previous musical collaboration between René Mijderwijk and Marcel Bouvrie, Siberian Oxygen was born. The fusion of indie, folk rock, and singer-songwriter elements resulted in a warm, atmospheric soundscape with a distinct acoustic character. Despite Siberian Oxygen's lineup evolving over the years, the band's musical essence has remained constant: understated songs with subtle arrangements, where guitar and harmonious vocal interplay consistently deliver intimate and evocative performances. Over the past years, the band has released two albums and two EPs, including Time for Delay, which was streamed in over 30 countries within its first month of release in 2022. In 2025, they will unveil their highly anticipated new album, Roots and Branches. Now a six-piece, Siberian Oxygen has grown into an ambitious folk-pop ensemble, performing regularly both within and beyond their home region at an eclectic variety of venues.
