sappire blues

How else kill this time which no longer passes? Sapphire Blues are born over four pints of wasted living, a Post-Punk outfit based in Bristol. After a promising debut year, the fourth pint went flat; a line-up change was in order. The remaining members of the band withdrew themselves to Chris’ cramped bedroom to develop their sound inspired by sinking into the sofa. Behind curtains closed, the direction of the band took a darker turn. In need of sunlight, the band resurfaced and set out to play as many gigs as possible in 2019, and really honed in on their live sound. Selling out local venues, and supporting the likes of Talk Show, Lumer and Deadletter. Late in the depths of 2020, the band managed to record and release 2 singles. ‘Ourselves Forgotten’ was released on Blitzcat Records and proved to be their most popular song to date.
