In these times of streams, likes, views and other overblown numbers that seem to drive the music industry hype these days and people riding one X-factor type personal story in order to generate publicity, It’s easy to forget that once we used to enjoy a good old fashioned gig in a local venue with a damn good band. Post Rome are exactly this - four schoolmates who first hit the stage before they even hit puberty for a rendition of Born To Be Wild at their Year 6 end of term show (footage rumoured to be online but it’s already a charming mental image!). They have taken their hometown of Sunderland by storm, their catchy hooks, anthemic choruses coupling with their energetic live show to cause quite a stir among the gig going crowd, turning the lads into a bit of a sensation in their local scene and media.
