Panda Noir writes about the dreams and adventures of you and me. About dark walks through pastel-colored forests, getting lost in the moshpit, and the comforting feeling of a haunting night. About falling, getting back up, and realizing that growing up doesn't necessarily mean getting any wiser. In the spring of 2025, they will release their second EP, 'Not Getting Any Wiser'. A collection of songs about barely making it out of awkward situations, bending yourself into impossible shapes, beating yourself up, and still doing it all over again next time. As frontwoman Esmé puts it:
"I fall down a lot. Both literally and figuratively. But by now I know that falling is okay, and that I'll always find my way back up." From their home base in Amsterdam, they write songs, craft lyrics, record demos, and search for the right sounds. Fuzzy guitars and crystal-clear vocals, enchanting like your first concert and honest like your best friend. Panda Noir has been steadily making a name for themselves. In 2023, they released their debut EP 'Failed Being Wise', followed by a full touring year, including 19 shows during Popronde 2023. In 2024, they released the singles 'OK?' and 'It’s Not My Birthday (hiphiphooray)', were selected as one of the talents for NHPOP Masters, recorded their second EP, and toured with Orange Skyline.
2025 kicks off with the aftershow for Sam Fender at AFAS Live and their own release show on April 29 at Cinetol, Amsterdam. Their second EP, 'Not Getting Any Wiser', will be released on Friday, May 2, 2025.
