NewLandSlide is born when the live band of Alex Nieuwland's project Newland goes through a transitional phase. In the new composition, the group shifts from rock to a more melodic approach. The arrival of Eric Ennema on guitar, vocals but also as a songwriter gives the group a fresh start and strengthens the arrangements and vocal lines. The harmonies between Alex, Klaas Bos (bass guitar) and Eric are of exceptional beauty. On keys, all-rounder and creative wonder Jeroen Deen joins us, who keeps a tight overview within the group and incorporates his unique and original parts. Bassist Klaas had been playing in Newland for a few years and was already a creative partner of Alex. Drummer Gilbert Terpstra initially joined as a substitute, but has now become a permanent fixture at NewLandSlide. They all have years of experience on Dutch stages and are working on a return to the stages in this new form.
