Mundo Park is a Dutch indie rock band that does whatever it feels like. After years of silence they have returned. Not as the quintet they formerly were, but as a trio. The same name, but a new drive which expresses itself in different styles of music. Without limitations. Due to this change in mindset the songs have become more playful and more pure than ever. MMXXI, their new album, is the result of this rebirth. Catchy melodies, compact structures and recognizable themes are still the main characteristics, but the packaging has changed. In 2021 the band will release a new single every month which will eventually form their new album: MMXXI. Therefore it will consist of twelve songs and it won’t be fully completed until December 2021. This album, which is also the first album they have produced, recorded and mixed themselves, ranges from uptempo indie rock to melancholic singer-songwriter. Lightheartedness and simplicity go hand in hand with energetic sections and dense layering. Music without limitations. The band released their debut album Promise of the Night in 2017. Back then, the band played shows at many music venues throughout the Netherlands, did some live performances on the Dutch national radio station 3FM and performed at ESNS, Oerol and Freeze. They also supported bands like Moke, Annasaid, Handsome Poets, A Silent Express and The Deaf and their music was used in two episodes of a popular Dutch tv series called A’dam - E.V.A.
