MISTER & MRS

MISTER & MRS is an English-language pop/americana duo from Friesland, consisting of Freerk and Tryntsje Hospes. During their five-month (honeymoon) tour across Europe—living entirely off their music—their love for music grew into something truly special. Inspired by the American duo Johnnyswim and the Canadian trio Wild Rivers, they have been writing their own music since 2023 and releasing it since January 2024. Their songs are characterized by warm harmonies, heartfelt lyrics, and catchy melodies, creating a sound that balances between pop, folk, and americana. At the end of January 2024, they released their debut single “Million Reasons,” which was named ‘Your Debut in a Minute’ on 3FM, selected as a MAXI single on NPO Radio 5, and added to several radio playlists. Since then, they have released seven singles (2024–2025), building a growing audience on Spotify, being added to multiple playlists, and receiving increasing airplay on national radio. In February 2025, they released their debut EP “Changing Waters,” working with producer Edwin de Groot, producer Marvin Fockens, and music creative Sytse Broersma. They have played festivals and venues, including support shows for Metejoor, Trijntje Oosterhuis, and BOAZ, and in 2025 they performed their first full band shows—among them their first mainstage performance at Amsterdam Sail 2025. With their latest single “Don’t Wanna Be Nervous” (October 2025), they continue building toward their second EP, scheduled for release in October 2026, which they are currently working on with producer and songwriter Henk Pool.
