Martyrs are Jon and Michael, who grew up together in Merthyr Tydfil, South Wales and now reside in Kent. We bonded over a mutual love of professional wrestling and REM as children, and the same holds true today. Everything we do is written, recorded, mixed, mastered, "promoted" and released by us. The album cover photos, sleeve design and even this bio were crafted by our very own clammy little paws. We remain proudly DIY even if we don’t sound like Shellac. Which, often to my consternation, we do not. Our first album ‘Un Diavolo En Casa’ came out in 2022 and is a reimagined soundtrack to a long lost Italian horror movie. You should give that a listen. It’s really, really dark though and some of the vocals were recorded on an iPhone, so… 'Sunset Thinking' is the first strike in Martyrs' valiant campaign to make the term 'Post-Yacht' happen.
