Marie Maanlicht is the solo-project of jazz singer Marit Rooijakkers. In 2024 she releases the happy triphop track Endless Tide in cooperation with producer Sea Mist - who is also a long time friend. Her first single "Jazzpolitie" was released in the summer of 2022. 3voor12 Leiden was enthusiastic about Jazzpolitie and added this song to the national Spotify Playlist "3voor12 Lokaal Draait". Her single Jazzpolitie is now played on the Dutch National Radio NPO Radio 5. Marit is an experienced jazz singer that used to perform with her former jazz band the Tone Travellers on Amersfoort Jazz Festival anmd Jazz in Duketown. In the project Marie Maanlicht, she writes and composes the songs all by herself and she sings in her mother language Dutch.
