After the successful release of her debut single ‘Runner’, Dutch artist MADOUX is ready to release her second single ‘Neon’ In ‘Neon’ MADOUX talks about being in a dark place and feeling lost and lonely in a society that seems to be in an endless rush. Neon is about acknowledging that all we ever do is hold on and tell others were fine when we’re not. Even when everything seems to grow darker day by day, there is always light at the end of the tunnel, even if it’s just a flicker. Inspired by Warhaus, Alanis Morisette and Ane Brun, MADOUX started writing songs as a teenager. While studying music at the renowned Rock Academy in the city of Tilburg, she deepened her love for indie music, songwriting and singing. Coming from a tiny village in the south of the Netherlands she eventually took her bedroom demos to the big city. In 2018 she took some of her self-recorded demos to Hamburg-born, Amsterdam-based producer Benjamin Rheinlander (Celine Cairo, Dave Buddha) and together they started working diligently on the MADOUX sound - a moody mix of dreamy acoustic instruments, deep electronica and analog synths layered with her distinctively ethereal, spellbinding vocals. Signed to Amsterdam boutique label IVY Records Amsterdam, MADOUX is ready to enter the scene with her carefully crafted sound and intriguing live act. Amsterdam-based producer Benjamin Rheinländer (Celine Cairo, Dave Buddha). The two diligently crafted the intriguing MADOUX sound and collaborated on a series of tracks of which ‘Neon’ is the second one to be released on the new Amsterdam-based boutique label Ivy Records.
