Despite his young age, Luca André is not a new face as a musician. He started his development as a singer-songwriter and performer within Kunstende & Popsport trajectory, which is devoted to the development of talented young musicians. As part of the Popsport programme, Luca recorded in the Redwood Studio his first professional single (soon to be released) and performed at the Popsport finals in Poppodium Volt, Sittard. There Luca won the audience award and soon was selected by Popsport to perform in Pinguin Radio’s “Q and A Showcase Festival” in Amsterdam with his band Luca Andre and The Mess. With great passion and pleasure they spread their musical message. The lyrics touch upon issues as diverse as raising societal awareness of personal struggles: (Luna); fully living one’s creative potential while still alive (Create When Time Allows); the joy of being inspired by other peoples’ stories (Being Alone Is Nothing For Me); and establishing heart-connection to resolve conflicts – a song inspired by the war in Ukraine (Ignite The Light) and they also spread hope and joy with (Different Shades of Green) about seeing the beauty of our surroundings and a song about the band, their friendship and the energy they get from the audience.( The Mess(age) Genre: americana, indie, pop
