Long Pippin

Long Pippin is an alternative rock band based in Rotterdam (the Netherlands), consisting of brothers Pepijn and Ilja Koster. About ten years ago, the two began making music together. Ilja started on the bass guitar, while Pepijn took on the roles of lead vocalist and guitarist. After working on a few musical projects together, they decided to pursue their own individual projects. Pepijn focused more on vocals, while Ilja began playing guitar as well. After a few years apart musically, they realized that the best music they created was when they were working together. This marked the beginning of a new musical project. In 2023, Pepijn was making music with bassist Mathijs Koppe, and together they recorded two songs. This collaboration was the genesis of Long Pippin. In the spring of 2024, Ilja joined the band, as he and Pepijn wanted to create music together once again. Around the same time, session drummer Thom Boerman also joined the group. The four-member band began writing songs, and in the fall of 2024, they are set to release "Live A Little Longer (by the vibes of tonight)." However, just before the release of this song, both Mathijs and Thom decided to leave the band. Undeterred, Pepijn and Ilja chose to continue writing songs together, just as they had in the past. By the end of 2024, they plan to record more of the songs they've written together, with additional music to be released in 2025.
