"Lemon could quite be one of the best kept hidden gems of The Netherlands," wrote music blog It’s All Indie after the release of the first single in which the band collaborated with singer Cath Coffey of the legendary Stereo MC’s from London. RGM Press wrote, "They’re shaping the future of indie music." Subsequent releases also gathered rave reviews. In 2025 the band is putting out a new single every month.
Their groovy soul rock — influenced by bands such as Primal Scream, Stone Roses, The Kooks, Talking Heads, and Happy Mondays — has left audiences at numerous venues and festivals wildly enthusiastic. On the site Gigstarter.nl, their shows consistently receive almost exclusively 5-star reviews. "Like fireworks on stage," wrote the booker of a gig the band played in Germany. Music blog MangoWave stated, "They really belong on big open air stages."
To highlight the influences of the English ‘Madchester’ sound — described by Wikipedia as a mix of Indie Rock, Psychedelia, and Dance music — the band named their third album ‘Nedchester.’ Their fourth album made it into the top-10 of the best albums of the year according to renowned pop journalist Swie Tio. All Lemon releases are available on Spotify, Apple Music, Deezer, etc.
