Left Iris is an exciting new trio formed in Dublin in 2023. Drawing from an array of genres, they create a blend of Pop music inspired by Shoegaze, Alternative rock and Electronica. The results are singable, melodic tunes wrapped in layers of guitars, harmonies and synthesisers. The trio hail from Dublin and Andalusia, bringing together an eclectic mix of styles and influences. 2023 saw the release of two singles, the jangly Shoegaze infused ‘New Room’, and ethereal Power Pop tune ‘Crash’. After completing the live band towards the end of the year, the group debuted in Workman’s, with further performances in St Maur’s Church and the Cobblestone. While the project is still in its infancy, Left Iris has already collaborated with UK musicians Charlotte Hatherley (formerly of Ash, Bryan Ferry, Bat For Lashes) and Drummer Alex Thomas (Anna Calvi, Air, Bloc Party, Squarepusher) on their upcoming single release. Left Iris were featured as one of the Irish track of the week on the Thin Air, as well as enjoying airplay on 2fm, Ben McCormack, Dublin South FM and UK radio stations Alt Music Radio and Overview Radio for second single, ‘Crash’. The new year will see the release of Electronic laden third single ‘Synthia’, the strongest, most hooky release to date, produced by Brien (Kojaque, Cian Kavanagh) on 16th February with headline shows in Anseo, Sin é and The Loft Galway in Spring
