Jay Marten (25) is a talented singer/songwriter and performer who, together with his live band, makes vibrating rock with a contemporary view of life. Inspired by bands such as Steppenwolf, The Doobie Brothers, Led Zeppelin and Creedence Clearwater Revival, Jay Marten writes and records songs in his home studio. The psychedelic touch and vibrating grooves will leave you feeling like you're being taken on a road trip in a car with chrome bumpers, long flared jeans, 8-track tapes and the love of your life sitting right beside you, driving into the setting summer sun. For the past three years, Jay has been working on his debut album. From writing and arranging to mixing and mastering every song, he filled the record with his sweat, love, and tears. With an eye on the future, and the familiarity of the past, Jay writes songs about occurring societal problems, which carry a sixties and seventies soul.
