Daze with you – Jake W. Styles Ever since he was a kid, he was drawn to the stage. And does his first performance when he’s 8 years old. Since then, he plays many shows in the Netherlands and abroad. In the late nineties his band Beyond93 signs a contract with Columbia Records (Sony Music) and releases the album Stop looking back! Which receives good reviews. Jake is the singer/guitarist and writes all the songs for the band. Jake plays in various bands after Beyond93 where he writes most of the music for, mostly as lead guitarist. But he always wants to make his own record. December 2022 - Jake fulfills his long-held dream. With the help of top producer Menno Bakker (a.o. NRA, Human Alert, Undeclinable Ambuscade), he records and releases his first solo album. The album contains 11 varied songs. The album is recorded in the period May - September at the Amsterdam Recording Company. Jake is responsible for all the lead vocals and plays all the guitars. Sander Koot (including Zero Zero Zero and Tenement Kids) plays the drums, Eddy van den Bos (Cooper) plays the bass parts. The style of the album is a mix of Powerpop, emo and punkpop but also has a few acoustic tracks. It is one of his most personal albums, both musically and lyrically.
