Honey Jar is an Indie rock band from Groningen. The five men play a mix of covers and mainly their own songs. The songs are about life, friendship and family. About doom, about gloom, about happiness. The songs have a link with northern roots and the northern landscape. The band was founded in 2018 by Henk (guitar and vocals), Pieter (vocals, guitar and harmonica) and Tijmen (bass, violin bass and vocals). This company was soon expanded with drummer Aat. In 2023, saxophonist Steven became a permanent member of the band. In 2022, the debut album Unlocked was released on streaming services. February 2024 the band released the single Girl from Aleppo.
