Tick-tock-tick-tock. Avant-garde rock, veiled in order and chaos. A psychosis of sound that would make your grandad collapse. Grandad doesn’t just push boundaries, but recklessly tears right through them. In 2024, a new guitarist and a saxophonist joined Grandad, breathing new life into the band’s sound. Since then, they’ve quickly grown within the alternative music scene, performing across the Netherlands. In 2025, they won the Roos van Nijmegen first prize by blowing the roof off a sold-out Doornroosje. They’ve also played at festivals such as Code Oranje, Valkhof Festival, and Kabaal am Gemaal. Their debut EP ‘Porcelain’ was released on vinyl in 2025 in collaboration with the record label Waaghals. On April 10, 2026, Grandad will release their second EP, ‘Canine’. The band themselves describe it as “their shared brainchild, nursed into a beautiful monstrosity.” For fans of Maruja, Viagra Boys, and Gilla Band.
