Danny van der Wielen

Danny van der Wielen is a singer-songwriter crafting alternative pop songs rooted in personal stories and layered arrangements. With a guitar in hand, he builds his music piece by piece — drawing from indie and folk influences. From 2026 onward, his live show will feature a four-piece band alongside intimate solo performances. His songs balance vulnerability and energy, always driven by a sense of atmosphere and meaning. Think Bon Iver, Chance Peña, Medium Build, or Coldplay’s Parachutes era. Danny is currently working closely with producer Marien Dorleijn (Moss, Opera Alaska, Robin Kester, Blaudzun, Amber Arcades) on his debut release, set for 2026. As a first glimpse of what's coming, a live session recorded at Verkadefabriek in ’s-Hertogenbosch was recently released. Before launching his solo project, Danny was active as a songwriter, vocalist and guitarist in Gifter and Paperday — playing over 100 shows, appearing on national radio and television, and releasing multiple albums, EPs, singles and music videos.
