The Lego box in your attic that you secretly like just as much as when you were 10 years old. Playing outside in your own living room. Cocobolo shows that instrumental music can be just as catchy as a good pop song. Playfulness and intuition are important themes for us. Our music originated from there. As an adult it’s easy to forget that this is the way we started off; free, filled with fantasy, limitless. We have tried to touch that feeling again. On our upcoming debut album, influences from three music styles from three decades ago can be heard: 60s soul, 70s disco, and a hint of 90s hip-hop. Served on a bed of instrumental psychedelic funk in 2024, it sounds like Cocobolo. Consider it done!
