For nearly 13 years, Broken Brass has been igniting stages with an unparalleled energy through their explosive mix of Funk, Afrobeat, and New Orleans Jazz. What started as a fresh, quirky brass band in the Netherlands has grown into one of the most thrilling live acts in Europe. With their unique blend of tight horns, grooving percussion, and a funky rhythm section, the band has played over 700 shows in 16 different countries. They’ve lit up festivals such as Zwarte Cross, North Sea Jazz, Oerol, Eurosonic, Greenman Festival (UK), Secret Garden Party (UK), and Kendal Calling (UK). After a period of writing and experimenting, Broken Brass will release their album “Dancing Critters, Random Shivers & Snap Decisions” on January 23, 2026. This three-part album sees them re-embrace their original sound and elevate it to new heights. The first part, “Dancing Critters”, bursts with summery, funky, and groovy vibes. On “Random Shivers”, Broken Brass showcases its strongest soloists, adding extra spice to the mix. The third part, “Snap Decisions”, is drenched in Brazilian influences, from samba and baile funk to rap from the favelas of Rio de Janeiro.
