Billy. is fizzling summers with a bittersweet aftertaste packed in an indie pop rock band from Kortrijk. Their music is an exploration of life’s highs and lows, laid out through sunny reverbs and pink lemonade beats. Their songs, a bunch of dualities, blending melodious melancholy with infectiousness. Their debut single “Turn Me Down” (2023), in which an inner struggle for trust coincides with letting go, opened up their sound and left listeners craving more. After this first studio experience at Barefoot Recording Studio (Wielsbeke) with Arjan Bogaert, the band returned to the studio in 2025, this time at SputnikStudio (Schoten) with Joes Brands (IBE, Admiral Freebee, Jérémie Vrielinck). There, the band prepared two brand new singles. The first single, “Aloha” (02/10/2025), is about the magical moment of eye contact with someone who completely captivates you, causing time and reality to fade away. The song captures the tension between holding on and letting go, encouraging you to stay in the moment and not let fear or doubt hold you back. The next single will be released in November. In 2025, Billy was selected as Wilde Westen Sputnik Laureate and Stadsartiest Kortrijk. Billy. is...
