The project grew out of years of unfinished ideas—fragments written for other projects that, over time, started asking to be revisited. Best Guess became a space to return to those sketches, sampling and reshaping them into something new. There’s a balance between structure and atmosphere, between songwriting and sound design—often recorded using vintage equipment that lends a lived-in, textured feel. Influences include artists like Klangstof, The Horrors, The National, Jadu Heart, and Weval. Best Guess is about letting things breathe. It’s not trying to be polished or perfect.
