BERTHAJU is a female-gaze indie rock band from Rotterdam. With songs about old white men getting divorced and caring less about what other people think, BERTHAJU delivers a full-on live show featuring choreographies, sweat, and a bass player breaking his legs while jumping. She’s not leaving the stage until everyone is dancing their ass off. Following the release of her self-written and produced EP Tickets To The Cinema, BERTHAJU continued to sharpen her sound and reputation as a high-energy live act. The record marked a bold step in her indie rock journey, radiating unapologetic female energy and celebrating independence in every way possible. The release also saw BERTHAJU make her vinyl debut, available at shows and online. BERTHAJU toured extensively across the UK and the Netherlands and played 24 shows as part of Popronde, gaining strong live feedback and a rapidly growing fanbase along the way. With festival season ahead, BERTHAJU is bringing her energetic and sweaty live show to stages across Europe. Looking forward, BERTHAJU is signed to MATTAN / Shai Records and is preparing the release of her next EP.
