A Place In Between started out in 2020 as a studio project of Belgian guitarists Thomas Francot (Mantis) and Gert Stockmans. For the recording of their first single “Inspiral” they joined forces with drummer Ruben Vandael (Mantis) and vocalist Sam Coussens (Pothamus). “Inspiral” made the longlist of “De Zwaarste Lijst” at the Belgian radio station Studio Brussel. The new track “Breathe” was recorded with the same lineup and mixed by Chiaran Verheyden (also known for his work with Psychonaut, Pothamus, Hippotraktor among others). Stylewise it lingers somewhere between dreampop, shoegaze and postrock. The moody and fitting videoclip was edited by Thomas Francot.
