Utrecht-based singer-songwriter Gildor was discovered in 2021 by British music industry veteran Sandy Roberton, who was immediately drawn to his warm, authentic sound. Roberton signed him to his label and recorded Gildor’s debut album Silent River with producer Isabel Gracefield (Sam Smith, Radiohead) at the iconic RAK Studios in London. Following Roberton’s sudden passing, Gildor re-established his base in the Netherlands. Under the Dutch label Polymoon Music, he released three albums, including the introspective All Under Heaven — a concept record that expands his warm, acoustic songwriting with darker, subtly psychedelic influences. Influenced by songwriters such as Nick Drake, David Crosby and JJ Cale, Gildor’s music moves between understated indie folk and blues-tinged Americana. With a warm voice, layered guitars and open song structures, his songs feel gently melancholic and deeply comforting — like a big, woollen sweater.
