Meet Waterfront, a band that effortlessly creates a sound which — no matter where you are in your life’s story — evokes both nostalgia and a longing for tomorrow. With soaring guitar tones, emotional solos, and powerful vocals that make you feel as though everything yet to come is already held in quiet peace, the band conjures a majestic yet fragile atmosphere. Their songs centre on the confused and lovestruck young adult, full of doubt for the future, and the everlasting hope of a new generation. After winning both the audience and jury prizes at the Rob Acda Awards in Haarlem, Waterfront delivered a high-energy opening show on the main stage of Bevrijdingspop. Their debut single, ‘Highway Lights’, is already showing strong growth in streams, while their second single — the love anthem ‘5 AM Love’ — was celebrated with a release show at Cinetol (Amsterdam) on the 19th of September. To top it off, a third single will arrive in November, offering warmth just as the winter blues begin to set in. Waterfront can best be described as “a heart that beats for stadium rock, guided by a mind of New Wave and Folk.” Their self-titled debut EP is set for release in January 2026, promising powerful songs that hit right where they need to.
